The first of two project phases for the Wriston Quad restoration project centered around five of the nine buildings comprising the major dormitory quadrangle at Brown University. Lerner | Ladds next received the award for the second phase, which entailed similar restoration of the remaining four buildings along with new Residential Life offices. Both phases of construction were completed under extremely tight schedules during summer break sessions, encompassing 974 beds.
The accessible ceiling design was created with several purposes in mind. The system conceals power, data, sprinkler systems and HVAC grills, but allows easy access for maintenance and alterations. The design is sympathetic to the Neo-Georgian style of the architecture,
